1.1 ESD and Surge Protection Using CLAMP0521PSCR1 & WPEXXXN16AT1L1 Series

The USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 protocol Type-C interface supports a signal transmission rate of up to 20Gbps and is compatible with the PD fast charging protocol, supporting up to 20V/5A. Type-C not only enhances data transfer speed but also increases power delivery capacity. The signal lines are protected using a chip-scale CSP0603-2L low-capacitance ESD suppressor, which occupies minimal PCB area and offers ESD protection up to 20KV. Vbus is protected using a small-package DFN1610 ESD suppressor, providing ESD protection up to 25KV.
