Compared to previous versions, the USB 3.2 interface features a faster transmission rate, with data transfer speeds up to 10Gbps. It adds SSRX+/SSRX-/SSTX+/SSTX- differential signal pairs internally, requiring enhanced electrostatic discharge and surge protection capabilities. The signal lines are protected by ultra-low capacitance ESD suppressors in a chip-scale CSP0603-2L package, which occupies minimal PCB area and provides ESD protection up to 20KV. Vbus is protected by an ESD suppressor in a compact DFN1610 package, offering ESD protection up to 25KV.
