15.1 Static electricity and surge protection using SM712/WP61150B

Ethernet usually uses line-to-line and line-to-ground static electricity and surge protection technology, with a maximum signal rate of 10Gbit/s. This speed requires consideration of the capacitance of the suppressor. As shown in the figure below, WPE3V3D3UW is used to protect secondary high-speed lines. Using the semiconductor discharge tube LANTSPD-C8 in conjunction with RC, it can effectively provide common mode surge protection for first-level high-speed lines.
